This is a short summary of the – in my opinion – most important points I found all over the internet, while studying what it needs to improve your drawing and painting skills. I hope it will be helpful to many aspiring artists!
Oh, that’s why it suddenly got so many faves! But really, you could have just reblogged it from my tumblr. ;)
"The Ocarina Cycle", characters from "The Legend of Zelda", Photoshop CS6, completion time: ~7 hours
VERY rough estimate on completion time, I didn’t really pay attention.
The first of the prints I’m doing for a con later this year! I love the N64 Zelda games SO GODDAMN MUCH, and I wanted to do something really cool to represent both of them. I’m so happy with this piece, I pretty much don’t know what to say!
EDIT: It was brought to my attention that I’m a big dumb who somehow messed up the Song of Time at the bottom for the Ocarina of Time side! I must’ve not been thinking, as I made it right-A-up instead of right-A-down. Fixed now! Although since lots of folks have reblogged this already, I’m not sure if the changes will make the rounds, lol.
Today I visited my pedicurist who praised my feet to be really neat and healthy. She said she rarely gets to see such feet, so I thought I might share some tips!
1. Walk around barefoot as often as possible.
Fresh air and touching the ground is very important to keep your feet healthy. But be careful to not walk on spiky stones or heated surfaces, because it hurts!
2. Change your socks every day!
Socks collect bacteria from your sweat and if you don’t change them often enough you might get athlete’s foot.
3. Disinfect your shoes from time to time.
This is especially important if you don’t wear socks with your shoes, because they collect bacteria too.
4. Wear shoes that are good for your feet.
Make sure your shoes aren’t too tight or you might get blisters. Also wearing high heels or very flat shoes like Flip-Flops over a long period of time is really unhealthy and can damage your feet permanently.
5. Clean your feet with an exfoliating body wash.
It helps to reduce callused skin and makes your feet feel soft. Also use a good lotion to keep you feet moisturized.
I hope my tips are helpful! ;)
I’ve received a lot of letters from artists asking to check out their artwork and their blog, and I’ve noticed that a lot of them openly write unhealthy amounts of negative comments about their artwork, it was super depressing, honestly. :(
Confidence plays a very very important role as an artist, it’s what helps us learn and grow without the constant feeling of doubt and jealousy! You are a unique individual who must go down your own unique path, and as scary as it sounds, you can’t rely on others to hold your hand all the way through. You are the only one who can get yourself to where you need to go, and beating up your artwork is not the way! Trust yourself and your abilities to make a change, and you can do anything!!
Love your art, love yourself!
